Jessica is a practicing designer who is motivated by user research in technology advancement and health. At UC San Diego, she learned about Human-Centered Design and Interaction and how she could apply that knowledge in different fields.
Her organization skills, diligence, and eagerness to learn allows her to be a great asset on your team.
She is proud of being able to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and Intermediate Japanese and enjoy engaging in exercise with her friends and family.

Focus: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, and Interaction

Reinforcing verbal English skills with international students by engaging them with conversations starting with American culture in English. For each class she will lead conversations with 2-7 students per group to discuss lesson topics, in-class skits/presentations, and/or case studies. Occassionally, she helps with new student registration, lead tours, and host a table at a conversation cafe.
September 2017 - June 2018
While attending community service events within the oranization, she maintained and created social media posts with Canva and free stock photos to promote the organization's mission and values. In addition, assisted the President in designing and organizing a training guide for newly elected officers in the organization and Marketing Director with their online outreaching duties.

D4SD Civic Design Challenge Finalist (1 of 8)
Conducted interviews to analyze public's understanding and awareness of autonomous vehicles (AVs) to support the experiential design and presentation of the G.A.T.E (Gamified Autonomous Training and Education ) Center idea to the D4SD community. Simulated the experience through role-playing with readily available items such as chairs with wheels and paper to create low-fidelity prototypes.
